Day 23: My 30 Day Poetry Journey

Day 23- I will write a seven line poem that begins with “it’s true that fresh air is good for the body” (from Frank O’Hara’s poem “Ave Maria”) and ends with “this is our body” (from Gary Snyder’s “The Bath”).

It is true that fresh air is good for the body

So should deep breathing become a hobby?

It is true that beauty is pleasant to the eye

So should we all get a tatt just to look fly?

We cannot escape from our minds

We cannot blame where we are confined?

This is our body
